Here is some basic information on how to book Kate for the different shows and/or personal appearances.

Fees negotiable depending on size of venue, travel time, number of performances, number of performers or crew and option of follow up master class/lecture/tutorial with Kate.

Shows:

Kate's Chink-O-Rama: Featuring the Chink-O-Rama Dancers
Comedy and music revue/ sketches/ satire/ characters/ fly girls. 1 hour 20 minutes

Minimal Technical Requirements:

2 cordless (corded ok too but less good) microphones
Sound system that supports the two microphones and a CD of backing tracks
Playing Space for 5 performers
Flexible Offstage area for quick costume changes for 3 people
Basic lighting grid
Technician(s) to operate sound and light cues
Travel and accommodation for 6 people (5 performers one chinkorama tech
director) if outside the New York Area
2-3 hours minimum technical rehearsal time

Birth of a nASIAN
Trip hop comedy theater: with Kate and electronic soundscape by Lyris Hung. Wild comic characters and nuyorasian spoken word trip hop, contemporary sketch, def poetry with an asian slant, impressions of modern urban amerasian life. In the style of Sarah Jones, John Leguizamo, Danny Hoch. 1 hour 20 minutes

Minimum Technical Requirements:

2 microphones on stand

2 d.i. boxes

Soundboard with CD player

Lighting

Two chairs

Coat rack

Small bench or black block

Small table

2-3 hours min tech rehearsal with technician(s)

Travel and accommodation for 3 people (2 performers one tech director) outside of New York area

Slanty Eyed Mama
Edgy Contemporary hip hop, original beats with Kate Rigg on the mic-- political lyrics, fierce sounds like Laurie Anderson meets Eminem with Lyris Hung, classical virtuoso turned supersonic electronic violin diva on the samples/pedals/e-violin. Optional performances by the ultra modern/high fetish Slanty eyed Mama dancers. 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minute sets. Musical Performance (may be combined with politicomedy on request)

Mixing Board with CD

Min half hour Sound check with technician
Travel and accommodation for two performers if outside the New York area

Personal Appearances/comedy/hosting
10 minutes to 1 hour sets or MCing of shows length depending on content. Stand up comedy with some song parody MC/hosting of events for groups and organizations. Guest appearance.
