Asian American Bad-Girl Comedy

Kate's stand-up career has taken her from coast to coast with her edgy, politi-comedy, her brash represent-asian, and her ability to talk to almost anyone about anything. A typical show involves current event jokes, wild song parodies from her touring shows, observations about Asian American life, and if permitted, a wee bit of filthy dirty post-feminist-take-back-and-reclaim-the-raunch humor. (entirely optional). Kate has performed comedy at all the major clubs in New York and Los Angeles, and performed/produced shows at Carolines on Broadway, COMIX, Gotham Comedy Club, Comedy Central Theater, The HBO Time Warner Workspace, PSNBC and Joe's Pub at the Public Theater. She has opened for George Lopez, Dave Chappelle, Lisa Lampanelli, Mo'Nique, Margaret Cho and many others. She can tailor special shows, themes and jokes for all-Asian audiences, conferences, events, and other special interest groups.

In addition to doing stand up comedy shows Kate has been known to radically clean up her act and serve as host or MC for many Special Events Nationally. Her knowledge of A/PI Cultural trends, issues affecting multicultural America, and the challenges facing women in the media have made her a much-requested speaker at events such as NYU's Asian American Center's 30th Anniversary of Maxine Hong Kingston's Woman Warrior conference, The Heritage of Pride Awards Dinner, NYC's Pride Rally, The Angel Island Benefit, The Smithsonian Institute's A/PI Heritage Month Series, The National Association of Women In Performance's Conference, Women's Week at UNC Chapel Hill and countless colleges and schools.

Kate is also the Executive Producer on the 2005 "The Naughty Show" released by Eagle Rock entertainment, and a pay per view special, an all-girl comedy show highlighting the edgier side of chicks in comedy. Kate's Comedy on TV includes:
