Culled from the finest Dance Companies and training programs in the world, The Chink-O-Rama dancers bring some serious fly girl action the stage. They can bust a move or pas de bourree with the best of them (and they have!). Representing the power and beauty of the Asian American body in space, the chink-o-rama dancers all bring their own individual flavor to the mix. Dance captain Charlotte Griffin oversees the choreography which is tailor made by and for the chink-o-rama dancers.

MiRi ParkMiRi Park graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2000 with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Journalism. Since then, her career has spanned performing, freelance writing for the Village Voice and Dance Spirit Magazine, and non-profit arts administration. She has worked with Robin Dunn and currently dances with modern choreographers Nia Love and Earl Mosley. Also known as B-Girl SeoulsoNYk, MiRi has studied the art of bboying since the summer of 2001. She is a member of Breakin in Style of Brooklyn, studying with her mentor Breakeasy. As a member of the all b-girl Tru Essencia Cru she regularly performs with original b-girls Honey Rockwell and Miss Twist. Her b-girl career has spanned many stages and clubs in NYC as well as in commercials, videos and other television appearances. She loves blasting Asian stereotypes at venues all over NYC and at colleges and universities with the Off-off Broadway show, "Kate's Chink-o-Rama." MiRi is also the Creative Director at Dance Space Center in SoHo.

KIM AWON (Afro-Chink) is part chinese part black part trini Indian part supa dupa fly dancing acting dynamo. Kim was a founding member of the NYC based comedy troupes "Don't Kill Yourself" and "the Juilliard jesters where she performed with Kate Rigg in hospices and mental institutions around Manhattan. Recent theater work includes "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Black Forest" at the Long Wharf Theater, "Mother Courage",With Ma-Yi Theater Co., and "Twelfth Night" on Broadway where she played Olivia to Helen Hunt's Viola. She's an Ex-"Miss Caribbean". Training : The Juilliard School Drama Division. For her appearance as a Chinky fly-girl, Kim sends a shout out to her grandpapa and her 2 great grandpapas (all her Chinese "pops")

CHARLOTTE GRIFFIN (Hi Yella-chink) is one quarter Korean, 3 parts whiter shades of pale… Charlotte graduated from the Juilliard School where she won the prestigious Martha Hill Award from the Dance Division. Her choreography has since been featured at Hunter College, The Juilliard, School The Summer In the Square Festival, Princeton, Rutgers, The Alden Theater and St. Mark's Church. Her work has been applauded in The New York Times, Dance Magazine and others. She has performed with David Neumann, Sue Bernhard, Indrani, and others. She is also a genius classical Indian dancer, teaches dance, has practiced yoga next to Madonna, and has a very chinky looking sister.

KIMIYE CORWIN (Euro-Chink) is part Japanese, part euro-fabulous. She studied ballet in Dallas, at the San Francisco ballet school, and at the Juilliard School (BFA) where she performed works by José Limón, Paul Taylor, Benjamin Harkarvy, and Igal Perry. She joined the prestigious Limón Dance Co. and with them has toured Internationally. Her original choreography has been selected for the Juilliard Stage Workshops and the Juilliard Dance Ensemble, and she has worked with NYC choreographers David Neumann, Toshiko Oiwa and Stanley Love. She is currently expanding her artistic repetoire with NYC's top acting teachers at the Actors Center Conservatory Program.

SATOMI SHIKATA (Nip Chink) is originally from Kyoto,Japan where she studied dance at Watanabe Stage Jazz Center. She performed with Dance Company DIOS under the direction of Takashi Watanabe and toured Japan China and the U.S.A. She taught dance in Osaka and later formed The dance group Project S&D. After moving to New York in 1993, she has worked with Mark Dendy, Tee Ross, Artichoke Dance Co. Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Co. and Peridance Ensemble. It is a pleasure to work with Katie and fun to live with Joe, my husband.
